Privacy

This page describes what this guide actually does. The short version: no account, no cookies, no form, no ads, and no analytics endpoint in the current build.

Effective 20 October 2026 · applies to https://solidcraftguide.online

What is not collected

  • No account, sign-in, email address or payment details.
  • No contact form and no uploaded files.
  • No advertising, retargeting or third-party marketing scripts.
  • No cookies or local storage set by this guide. Your operating system is detected in memory only if you use the download chooser; the result is not stored or sent.
  • No analytics events in the build currently deployed. The site has no analytics endpoint configured, so its event helper returns without sending anything.

Analytics, precisely

The codebase contains a small event helper for five real actions: click_official_github, click_official_web_app, click_official_download, tutorial_start and tutorial_complete. It is inert unless the build sets NEXT_PUBLIC_ANALYTICS_ENDPOINT.

If an operator later configures an endpoint, a click would send a JSON body containing the event name, the page path and an optional link identifier. There is no user ID, cookie or fingerprint. A collector would still receive ordinary request metadata such as an IP address and user agent, as with any HTTP request. That change would be disclosed on this page before it took effect.

Current status: the published build has no endpoint. No event data is transmitted.

Hosting logs

A static hosting provider may keep standard access logs — IP address, requested URL, timestamp and user agent — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This guide does not add its own server-side logging, and it does not combine hosting logs with any other data. The specific provider's policy applies once the site is deployed.

Downloads and the official web app

Download buttons send you to GitHub Releases. GitHub's own privacy policy governs that request. Sample files served from this site are ordinary static files; the host may log the request in the same way as any page.

The SolidCraft web app at docs.solidcraft.io is a different site, operated by the project. Designs you create there are stored in that browser's private storage (OPFS) under that origin. This guide cannot read them. Exporting or downloading a design is handled by your browser and the official app.

External links

Links to GitHub, the SolidCraft documentation and the web app open third-party sites. Once you follow one, that site's terms and privacy policy apply. This guide does not embed third-party trackers or fonts from external servers.

Children and sensitive data

The site is a technical guide and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, because it does not collect personal data at all in its current form.

Your choices

Because no personal data is collected by this guide, there is no profile to delete and no consent to withdraw. You can block JavaScript entirely and still read every page; only the optional operating-system hint would disappear. Standard browser controls for cookies and downloads continue to work as usual.

Changes to this policy

If a real analytics collector, contact channel or other data processing is added, this page will be updated first and the effective date will change. The current text describes the build that is actually published, not a future intention.

Questions

There is no contact inbox yet, and therefore no one to send a data request to. The contact page explains where SolidCraft help is available and why this site does not publish a placeholder address.
